At Catherine and Kay we source antique and vintage furniture. We give it a full makeover to produce unique high end pieces. We always respect the integrity of the individual piece of furniture and the master craftsmen who were their original creators. We work with solid wood and will always strive to enhance the original design bringing it up to date for modern interiors. We pride ourselves on the fact that all our furniture is sustainable making it better for the planet and better for your home.
We love furniture and work tirelessly to give these pieces a new lease of life. This means we remove all doors, drawers and hardware giving each item a deep clean in preparation for sanding, painting, top coating, gilding, waxing, stenciling and any other work required to achieve a truly professional finish.
Please note all our pieces have had a previous life and may show signs of some minor imperfections which in our opinion only add to the character and charm of this furniture.

What an honour to be recognised as Reclaim magazine’s upcycler of the month for July 2020. I am so delighted.
Reclaim is a British magazine which focuses on interiors. Reclaim have the same belief as us at Catherine & Kay that antique and vintage furniture deserves a second chance and we must preserve it’s history and incredible craftsmanship.

We spend so much time in our workshops covered in paint and talking to ourselves. It really is lovely to see our work being appreciated outside our own little bubble.
